Some things or call it traditions may just not be changed. Eggnog has never been a memory of my childhood, in this case my job has been influencing our family. When I was an apprentice, we would always serve warm eggnog to our guest and I somehow liked it. So for Christmas in 1996, I brought home a bottle for my mom and she fell in love with it. From this year on eggnog was a standard for every Christmas celebration and who can resist those little wafer cups?
rather then booze. Sure this liquid contains alcohol but I would only zip a small wafer cup here and there anyways. The creamy texture makes it somehow a great dessert base. It will be great with apple compote, chocolate or berries. Actually I think it can be poured over almost anything and will enhance flavors. Nevertheless, today it got teamed up with some fluffy chocolate marshmallows and makes a great match. I hope you enjoy my sweet and creamy eggnog aa much as I do and make sure to keep some for Christmas too.
